Liza Jackson Preparatory School is a regular public charter school. It is one of 52 schools in Okaloosa County School District. Liza Jackson Preparatory School has an enrollment of 850 students in grades KN-08.

Mission Statement

Purpose Liza Jackson Preparatory provides a student-centered, rigorous approach that gives students a strong academic foundation for high school while also building confidence, self esteem, and effective work habits. LJPS is based on the latest research regarding developmentally-appropriate school structure, curriculum, and practice. Each grade has a team of highly qualified teachers dedicated to creating the best learning environment for their students. These teachers share common planning time and and plan instruction and student activities together each day. This close coordination allows the teachers to plan field trips and interdisciplinary activities together, and to align policies and procedures so that students have a consistent experience. Grades 6-8 of our school are implementing the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program. Philosophy The philosophy of the school is best expressed in the mission statement: “We are a caring community of learners, dedicated to making the world a better place, through academic preparation, good manners, common sense and 100% effort”.
