Mahtomedi Public School District

Mahtomedi Public School District

Mahtomedi serves Dellwood, Mahtomedi, Pine Springs, Willernie and parts of Grant, Hugo, Lake Elmo, Oakdale and White Bear Lake. It has two elementary schools, (K-2 and 3-5), a middle school (6-8), a senior high school (9-12) and an Alternative Learning Program. In addition, the District Education Center houses Community Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood Family Education and school-age child care programs. The Mahtomedi School District covers approximately 28 square miles including the east shore of White Bear Lake and is located in the northeast section of the Twin Cities metropolitan area. The scenic school district includes trees, rolling hills, lakes and ponds and is a wonderful area to live and attend school. Since Mahtomedi is a small suburban school district of 3,000 students, which has long strived for low class sizes, it is able to express the essence of its motto "individual attention with a world view."
