City Academy is searching for a passionate and creative Utah state-licensed Mathematics Teacher who is looking for the opportunity to grow professionally. We seek someone innovative and able to engage junior high and high school students as young mathematicians and prepare them well for further study. City Academy is an established, accredited, 26-year public charter school in downtown Salt Lake City serving a wide range of students in grades 7-12. In our relatively small classes, we expect teachers to develop and implement inquiry-driven, differentiated units of study that are enhanced through technology as appropriate and meaningful. Our search is for someone who is a dedicated, strong, learning-focused teacher who will also contribute to the life of the school as a collaborative colleague, as an advisor for a small group of students, and as a sponsor of a student committee, sports team, or other student clubs or activities. Candidates should have experience bringing a broad intellectual perspective to their work and be eager to work with colleagues in the continuing development of our curriculum and our school.
