DISCOVERY WORKS - SUMMER LEARNING PROGRAM
BEHAVIORAL SPECIALIST
6 HRS PER DAY/ 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
MONDAY - THURSDAY (JUNE 22ND - JULY 31ST)
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, or related field.
- Hold current Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) or be enrolled in, or have completed, the coursework requirements for the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) Certificate from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). Preferred
- Ability to collaborate with educators and professionals to design and implement appropriate behavior support programs.
- Possess highly effective oral and written communication skills.
- Conduct functional assessments and analyses to develop behavior strategies to teach appropriate behavior and reduce maladaptive behavior.
- Provide ongoing support and training to direct support professionals and other individuals in support of students.
- Possess skills necessary to build rapport with students and families from diverse cultural, social and economic backgrounds.
- Possess a high level of effective student behavioral management skills.
- Experience working with children with special needs.
Bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.
Funding reduction may result in collapsing positions, depending on student enrollment to meet grant requirements.
RCW 49.58.110 REQUIREMENTS
Hourly Rate: $45.00
