Toppenish School District

Toppenish School District is centrally located in Washington State. Toppenish's four-season climate, its cultural and agricultural diversity, and its successful transformation into a "City of Murals" provide a high quality of life and opportunity. The district offers a Preschool through 12th grade program with 3 elementary schools, a middle school, an alternative high school, and a high school. It is located on the Yakama Indian Reservation. The district serves a culturally diverse student population, many from low-income families. Heritage College, located near Toppenish, is a four year private college that offers opportunities for advanced education.

MISSION STATEMENT The mission of the Toppenish School District, which serves a culturally rich, progressive community, is to produce superior graduates who are academically prepared to excel in their life choices, think critically, communicate effectively, and solve problems: we will do this by creating safe, innovative and stimulating learning environments and by developing interactive partnerships among parents, students, colleagues, and the community.
