Job Goal: Under the supervision of the school administrator, Long-term Substitute Teachers are responsible for supporting and assisting in the delivery of effective, high-quality, rigorous instruction in various content areas while following the district curriculum to assist in producing positive, measurable results and student understanding. Long-term Substitute Teachers collaborate with certified teachers for guidance in the planning of lessons and interventions. Substitute teachers are responsible for observing and evaluating the academic performance of students, and social-emotional needs and participate in Professional Development Learning. |

Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, use hands to the finger(s), handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, use fingers to type and/or write; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; taste or smell. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close, distance, and color vision, peripheral and depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
