Greetings from the Gibson County Special School District (GCSSD)! GCSSD is located in northwest Tennessee just north of Jackson. Our district is very progressive and features several innovative efforts such as school-based health clinics and distance learning. We encourage you to take a look at our schools as we strive to provide quality education in a safe learning environment by teaching students not only how to walk but where to walk. System Demographics The Gibson County Special School District serves over 3,000 students in pre-kindergarten through the twelfth grade in nine primary school campuses. . The service area of the school district is Gibson County with a population of 23,000 shared by four other special school districts within the county borders.
