Description

The Dickson County school system is dedicated to providing the best possible education for children in Dickson County. Located 30 miles west of Nashville in Middle Tennessee, Dickson County ranks 40th in size and 31st in population. The school system of Dickson County is the 22nd largest district (of 136 total) in the State of Tennessee with approximately 8500 students enrolled. The Dickson County Board of Education employs approximately 1,000 people, 550 of which are teachers. The school system has 14 schools including: 8 elementary schools (k-5) 3 middle schools (6-8) 2 high schools (9-12) 1 alternative school Dr. Danny L. Weeks is the Director of Schools for Dickson County.
