Minnesota Valley Education District (District)

Minnesota Valley Education District (MVED) is located in St. Peter, MN and provides special education services to 7 member districts. These services currently include access to: school psychology, speech and language pathology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, early childhood special education, social work, behavioral intervention, deaf and hard of hearing, DAPE, and special education coordination. The education district also provides services to these districts by providing multiple setting 3 programs (located in St. Peter) for students with ASD and behavioral needs. MVED also operates a setting 4 program in St. Peter which currently services students K-12. We believe in the worth and dignity of all people and that all children can learn. Our specialists offer consulting and training services to our member districts and work hand-in-hand with parents to ensure proper screening and due process. We want all children to receive the services they need to thrive. We also offer a direct intervention program at Minnesota Valley Schools (MVS). In this setting, we provide individualized academic plans for students identified as needing more structure, support, and modifications than can be accommodated in the traditional academic setting. We Believe: Open communication is essential for working collaboratively for student, staff, and system success. In interventions using emotional and academic support.
