System Profile The Alcoa City Schools consist of three schools located near Springbrook Park and the Duck Pond. Alcoa City Schools consistently ranks at or near the top of the state in student achievement scores determined by each spring’s TCAP testing. In May of 2009, the Middle School was recognized by the State’s Commissioner for Education as one of the top performing schools in the state for value-added scores. The High School has scored above the state average for ACT scores for the last five years. Alcoa City School System is listed as “In Good Standing” according to No Child Left Behind standards and is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
