Waynesboro City Public Schools

Description

Waynesboro Public Schools are located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. It is only 30 minutes west of Charlottesville, Virginia. Our 3000 students attend PK-5 elementary schools, a 6-8 middle school, and a 9-12 high school. Students can also attend the Valley Vocational Technical Center and the Shenandoah Valley Regional Governor's School for Math and Science, or Arts and Humanities. The basic skills in language arts, mathematic, science and social studies are emphasized in the elementary curriculum. Middle school students may explore many areas of interest to them, while sharpening basic core skills that prepare them for secondary studies. The high school offers broad choices of course work, including AP and Dual Enrollment courses with Blue Ridge Community College, which can allow for college preparation or development of marketable skills for life-long learning.
