Portsmouth Public Schools is located in Portsmouth, Virginia, a small seaport city steeped in over 300 years of history. With five districts listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places, Portsmouth is a history lover's paradise. Visitors to our city are delighted by our seven museums, boutiques, galleries, antique stores, fine restaurants, and enjoy leisurely strolls on the Seawall in downtown Portsmouth. The school system has fourteen elementary, four middle and three high schools, two early childhood centers, two special centers and a vocational education facility.
