Mecklenburg County Public Schools

Mecklenburg County is conveniently located near Interstate 85 and to US Route 58, providing easy access to the entire east coast. Mecklenburg County Schools have a great teacher to student ration. The elementary teacher to student ratio is 1 to 18 and the middle and high school class size is 20 - 25. Mecklenburg has 4 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and 2 high schools. Each incoming teacher is assigned a mentor and staff development is provided on an ongoing basis. Teachers are encouraged to attend conferences, workshops, and visit in other classes.

The mission of the Mecklenburg County Public Schools is to provide opportunities for all students to develop to their full potential. In order to prepare students to meet the challenges of society, we must provide a foundation of knowledge while nurturing lifelong learning and critical thinking skills. We believe that the success of the mission requires a shared responsibility by students, school personnel, parents, and community.
