Description

King William County includes 286 square miles of flat to gently rolling terrain in Virginia’s Coastal Plain region. The Mattaponi River on the northeast and the Pamunkey River on the southwest provide drainage. The two rivers merge to form the York River at West Point, at the southernmost tip of the county. The division consists of four fully accredited schools: Cool Spring Primary, Acquinton Elementary, Hamilton-Holmes Middle, and King William High. The student population is approximately 2200 with a student-teacher ratio of approximately 24:1. The division has been recognized for both academic and athletic achievement and has an on-time graduation rate of 93%.

The King William County School Division provides instruction in a challenging atmosphere to meet the educational needs of all students by supporting the efforts of the professional team and encouraging community involvement.
