Georgetown County School District

Georgetown County is in the northeastern section of South Carolina's coastal plain between Charleston and Myrtle Beach. Municipalities in the county are Georgetown, Andrews, Murrells Inlet. Litchfield and Pawley's Island beaches offer the citizens of Georgetown County a large area for fishing and beach sports. Choppee, Sampit, Pleasant Hill, Brown's Ferry, Carvers Bay, Waccamaw Neck and Plantersville are important communities located in the county.

The mission of the Georgetown County School District is to provide challenging educational programs that require all students to meet high academic standards and that prepare all students to be responsible citizens and lifelong learners.
