Description

Goochland's 2400 students attend three elementary schools, one middle school, one high school, two governor's schools, and an alternative school. The pupil/teacher ratio for grades K-5 is 15:1, and for grades 6-12, our ratio is 22:1. The $22 million "state-of-the-art" Goochland High School opened in the fall of 2001 as an 800-student high school. As Goochland's population grows, the building can grow. The new Goochland Middle School opened in the fall of 2007 and boasts state-of-the-art technology including Promethean Boards with ActivClassroom Solutions.
