Description
Since 1968, Chesterfield County has operated a single school district which now consists of two primary schools, seven elementary/intermediate schools, three middle schools, and four high schools. Total enrollment in the county's public schools is over 7,800 students. The student to teacher ratio is 20.6:1.
Mission Statement
The mission of Chesterfield County School District is to prepare all students to be productive citizens in a changing society by continuously improving and implementing educational processes with ongoing community support.
