Wayne County School District

Description

Wayne School District offers a great benefit package. We are one of the few districts in the state that continues to pay full medical and dental insurance on our full time employees. Our insurance is with Public Employees Health Plan (PEHP) and it is an excellent company. Wayne School District is a small rural District and is located in one of the most beautiful areas in the state. Our class sizes are small. We enjoy the small community atmosphere with family support. Our students are good kids with very few misbehavior issues. I know that you would enjoy living and working here. Wayne County, in Southern Utah, is a rural school district with two elementary schools, one middle school and one high school. Wayne County has a diversity of landscape like no other area in the state - red rock formations and canyons, pristine meadows, alpine forests, as well as lush green valleys. We have several major attractions including Capitol Reef National Park and Highway 12, Utah's first All American Road. This landscape makes Capitol Reef Country perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, horse and ATV rides, fishing and hunting. Within a few hours drive are more national and state parks, perfect camping, houseboating and water skiing. Bryce Canyon National Park, Canyonlands National Park and Lake Powell are just a few of the treasures this area has to offer.
