The district envisions a school system where the Board, administration, teachers, and staff follow TRACS: T - TRAINING to ensure teachers and administrators are highly qualified experts. R - RESOURCES provided to reach and challenge every student A - ACHIEVEMENT expectations are high and world-class opportunities are provided to all students C - COMMUNICATION is open and parents and community are involved in decision making S - SAFETY provided in a caring, orderly, positive environment BELIEF STATEMENTS WE BELIEVE: That it is the district's responsibility to provide a safe, caring, orderly, and positive environment in which emotional, physical, and social well being abounds and where both students and staff feel appreciated and respected. In a culture of excellence in which expectations for student achievement are high and world-class opportunities are provided whereby excellence and improvement can be demonstrated. That education needs to be focused on individual students as much as possible and that appropriate learning avenues should be provided to reach and challenge all learners, including students who are gifted and talented, students with disabilities, and students from all cultural backgrounds. that the school district must be staffed with educators and administrators who are highly qualified and experts at implementing research-based instruction, using meaningful curriculum, and assessing student performance in a reliable and valid manner. That parental and community involvement is critical in education children, including volunteering at the school and providing strong input into the decision making process, with a commitment from the schools to ensure that communication occurs through multiple avenues.
