Description

Daggett School District is home to the following accredited schools: Flaming Gorge Elementary (K-5) in Dutch John, Manila Elementary (K-6) and Manila Jr/High School (7-12) in Manila. From dinosaurs and petroglyphs to mountain men and outlaws, this part of Utah is steeped in history. Butch Cassidy was known to frequent the area and made the getaway from his first bank robbery through Brown's Park, along the Green River in Daggett County. Daggett County is also the home of the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area and the Flaming Gorge Scenic Byway. There are plenty of activities for outdoor enthusiasts of all kinds: boating, camping, fishing, biking, hiking, and wildlife viewing are a few of the activities residents and visitors enjoy in Daggett County.

Mission Statement

To create a learning environment where every student masters the skills and knowledge necessary for meaningful participation in a changing world. *Reading- is the foundation of all education therefore, we endeavor to teach all students to read at or above grade level. *Tolerance with Respect - All children have a need to belong. Daily classroom life will be imbued with core values of concern and respect for others. *Community Service - Each student is part of a larger community. Students will participate in class or individual projects that promote pride in and a sense of community among students and faculty.
