This position is for the 2025/26 school year which begins on August 18, 2025.
Infant & Toddler Classroom Lead
8.0 hours per day
7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. (includes a 30 minute unpaid lunch break)
190 days per year
$22.00 per hour (may increase with experience)
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Required: Associate’s degree in Early Childhood education, Child Development or related field from a two-year accredited college or university
Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Required: Certified or have the ability to become certified in Infant, Child and Adult CPR & First Aid
Preferred: Infant/Toddler Child Development Associate Certificate
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing a safe and nurturing environment for each child
Lifting, diapering, feeding, washing, and sitting on the floor with children
Using the Highscope curriculum for weekly lesson planning
Administering formal and informal child assessments including Teaching Strategies GOLD and ASQ-3
Developing support staff roles and responsibilities for the classroom
Completing paperwork accurately and in a timely fashion
Participating in ongoing professional growth and training
Maintaining respect at all times for confidentiality
Completing necessary State and Federal reports
Communicating with parents/guardians to discuss progress and/or concerns in a timely manner
Communicating daily with parents/guardians
Documenting and share the important milestones in their child’s day
Creating and leading a supportive, nurturing learning environment that encourages responsibility and motivation
