Daycare Aide at Luce Elementary

QUALIFICATIONS: Must a high school diploma

DUTY DAYS: 181

REPORTS TO: Daycare Lead Teacher and principal of building.

PRIMARY FUNCTION: Provide child care to children ages 6 weeks to 4 years in a classroom setting. Work under supervision of Daycare Lead Teacher. Follow established activity plans.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Participates in classroom activity planning.
• Guides children in working and playing harmoniously with other children.
• Alerts the teacher to special needs of individual children.
• Helps maintain individual records for each child.
• Assists teacher in maintaining neat learning and play environment.
• Assists with the supervision of children during regular play periods and lunch supervision.
• Assists with arrival and dismissal of student and confers with parents as needed.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

SALARY: $13.50/hour

HOURS / DAY: 4-6 hours/day
