Overview: 
The Tredyffrin/Easttown School District is seeking a passionate and student-centered educator for a Spanish Teacher position at Tredyffrin/Easttown Middle School. The ideal candidate will bring energy, creativity, and a deep commitment to language instruction and cultural literacy. This educator will design engaging lessons that promote communicative competence and global awareness, aligned with the ACTFL standards and district curriculum. Candidates should be committed to developing students’ proficiency across reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills while fostering a culturally responsive classroom environment. 
Key Responsibilities: 
• Develop and implement a rigorous and engaging Spanish curriculum that supports the development of language proficiency and cultural understanding. 
• Foster a student-centered, immersive classroom that prioritizes communication in Spanish at all proficiency levels. 
• Incorporate authentic cultural experiences—including literature, media, and current events—into instruction to enhance global awareness. 
• Utilize technology and innovative teaching strategies to support language acquisition and differentiate instruction. 
• Collaborate with colleagues in the World Language Department to align curriculum and share instructional best practices. 
• Assess and provide timely feedback on student progress using a variety of formative and summative assessments based on proficiency standards. 
• Participate in professional development and stay current with trends in world language instruction and assessment. 
• Support student engagement in extracurricular activities related to language and culture, such as Spanish Club, honor societies, and exchange programs. 
Candidate Requirements: 
• Demonstrated passion for Spanish language instruction and cultural studies. 
• Commitment to proficiency-based instruction aligned with ACTFL standards. 
• Strong ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. 
• Effective communication and collaboration skills to work as part of a team. 
• Willingness to integrate authentic materials and instructional technology into lessons. 
• Enthusiasm for fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. 
Required Certifications: 
• PA Certification in Spanish (K–12) 
Preferred Qualifications: 
• Experience teaching at the middle school level 
• Additional certification in another world language (preferred, but not required)
