Description

Description:   Administrative Assistant to the Principal, 8 hours/day, 260 days/year, working 6:15 am - 2:45 pm (tentative hours) with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch at Kennard-Dale High School.
                       
Salary Range:  
Range I, beginning of range is $18.83 per hour, hourly wage will be determined based on experience.  This is a full-time position that offers medical, dental, vision, and life insurance as well as the PA School Employee Retirement System.  Paid sick, personal, vacation, holidays, and bereavement days are available each year.  

Job Summary:  The Administrative Assistant to the Principal serves as the administrative assistant to the building principal and assists with other building administrators, staff, student and parent needs. 

Qualifications: 

  1. Have two to three (2-3) years as an administrative assistant/secretary experience, preferrably in a high school setting or equivalent and have a high school, post secondary certificate, or degree.
  2. Must possess communication skills, interpersonal skills, computer skills, general office/secretarial skills, and have the ability to multi-task.
  3. Must be able to work and focus in a fast-paced work environment.
  4. Must be team oriented.
  5. Must be able to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  6. Familiarity with educational compliance and reporting preferred.
