Description
Lake Forest High School District 115 is seeking a 12-month, 7.5 hour/day Administrative Assistant to Educational Services.
Description: The Administrative Assistant provides clerical and administrative support for the Associate Principal of Educational Services and assigned responsibilities with the Principal's Office.
Salary and Benefits:
- Base Starting Rate - $23.89/Hour (for 24-25 school year)
- Vacation, Holiday, Personal and Sick Day Leave provided
- Reimbursement - up to $1300 annually for tuition reimbursement
- Insurance - 100% district paid Single HMO Health (other options also available)
- Retirement - IMRF (Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund) - the district pays the full district premium, employees pay the 4.5% employee contribution
Education, Experience, and Licensure
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Clerical and secretarial experience - preferred
- Experience with Google Workspace, office, and school-based management systems - preferred

Essential Functions
- Assists department administrators and department staff with clerical needs
- Manages the Office of the Associate Principal of Educational Services
- Manages orders, supplies, resources, materials, and department mailings
- Assists with managing and reporting on assigned department budgets
- Provides direction and assistance to parents, students, and staff regarding needs related to Educational Services
- Supports the management of department systems, such as Naviance, Embrace, Powerschool, Powerscheduler, and other systems
- Collaborate with Associate Principal of Ed. Services on the implementation of Career Connections programming
- Coordinates with the Associate Principal of Educational Services and the Director of Student Activities/ID for the Arts for special events (e.g. Scout Experience, Graduation, Curriculum Night, Counselor/Parent evenings, and APT events)
- Manages Illinois State Scholar and National Merit Scholar applications
- Interfaces with the Communications Dept. regarding: honor roll, Illinois State Scholars, National Merit Scholars
- Prepares numerous reports including the Matriculation Report and Service Hours Report
- Maintains the ILMAC Time Study
- Communicates updates for the website and website calendar
- Works closely with other department secretaries and administrative assistants to support the needs that exist across the school
- Performs other job related duties as assigned by direct supervisor
- Adheres to Board of Education policies and procedures
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, and reach. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, pull, and lift. Repetitive motions are required, especially for keyboarding which involves substantial movements of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. The employee must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 30 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly. Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly subject to inside environmental conditions and is subject to noises associated with both office and educational environments.
