Jefferson County Joint District 251

Jefferson County School District #251 is comprised of 8 schools (4 elementary, 1 middle school, 1 junior high school, 1 high school and one alternative school). The district serves approximately 3900 students in those eight schools and employs approximately 215 certified staff members. The largest town, which serves as the focal point in the district, is Rigby, Idaho, Rigby is a rural community which provides easy access to Idaho Falls, Idaho (20 miles) and many recreation areas such as West Yellowstone (95 miles), Yellowstone Park (137 miles), Sun Valley, Idaho (175 miles), and Jackson, Wyoming (87 miles). The area is beyond equal in opportunities for people who enjoy outdoor activity. Numerous, affordable, quality golf are in the area. The Snake River and it's tributaries provide the best trout fishing in the country.
