Welcome to the Levy County School District! We are very proud of our 12 schools that serve a student population of approximately 6,200 students in grades Pre-K through 12. Throughout the years, Levy County has had the opportunity to employ dedicated administrators, teachers, support personnel, and parental and business support which has contributed greatly to the success of students. As the 9th largest county geographically in Florida (comparable in size to the state of Rhode Island), Levy County is part of Florida’s ‘Nature Coast’ and remains rural with vast, open-wooded areas, springs, and rivers, and more than 50 miles of coastline on the Gulf of Mexico, and home to the Suwannee River. We have a sparse population of over 33,408 residents within the five communities in Levy County that include: Bronson (county seat), Williston, Chiefland, Cedar Key, and Yankeetown.
