Welcome to Hamilton County Public School District in Jasper, Florida! We're very proud of our school system that serves approximately 1,700 students in grades Pre-K through Adult. There are two schools in our district, and our work force totals 320 full-time and part-time employees. We invite you to come see all we have to offer! Hamilton County is a small, rural area located in North Central Florida, with Georgia forming its northern border. The county is separated from the rest of Florida by the Withlacoochee River on the west and the beautiful Suwannee River to the east and south. In the middle of the county is the fascinating Alapaha River, called the "River of Sand," which disappears underground during certain parts of the year leaving a dry, sandy riverbed. Ideally located at the crossroads of I-75 and I-10, from within Hamilton County you can easily access other major areas of Florida like Jacksonville, Gainesville, or Tallahassee. Additionally, we're located on 170 miles from Orlando, 180 miles from Tampa, and only 240 miles away from Atlanta.
