Description

Description: Ellington Public Schools has an anticipated opening for a full-time District-Wide Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) starting in August 2025. The BCBA will provide direct supervision for Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) programming throughout the district for students ages 3-22. The BCBA will work closely with administration, faculty, staff, and families to provide services which may include; functional behavior assessments, development of behavior intervention plans, staff and parent training, development of appropriate curricula, support in development of Individual Education Plans, 504 Plans, and SRBI plans, and modeling and consultation for faculty, staff, and families.

 

Qualifications: Applicants must hold a Master’s Degree in Special Education, Social Work, Psychology, or related field; hold and be certified by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB); be licensed by the Connecticut Department of Public Health; and have a minimum of 2 years experience working with students with behavioral disorders and  Autism Spectrum Disorders. Applicants must also have familiarity with curriculum development, CCSS, and content knowledge in reading, writing, and math. Excellent communication skills with all stakeholders is essential. Must be able to facilitate and foster a team approach to student learning.
