Description
Van Buren School District consists of eleven schools: Six elementary, two middle schools, two junior highs, and one high school. These schools carry an average attendance of 5,553 students. The district worked with an operating budget of $40,525,316.00 for the 2003-2004 school year. We attract and retain some of the most motivated people in the teaching profession. Eight of our schools are currently involved with the TAP (Teacher Advancement Program) through the Milken Family Foundation. This program provides an essential framework to support teachers and the performance expectations of the profession.
