Description
The Junction City School District covers 203 square miles in southern Union County Arkansas, and a small part of Claiborne Parish Louisiana. Junction City has a population of approximately 800 on the Arkansas side and 800 of the Louisiana side. The Junction City School District offers its students many avenues to excel both in the classroom and outside. These include a Gifted/Talented program and Vocational Home Economics and Business programs. The high school also gives students the opportunity to participate in FBLA, Science Club, French Club, FHA, Quiz Bowl and National Honor Society.
Mission Statement
The philosophy of education for the Junction City School District is to teach students to become useful citizens in their country through knowledge of subject matter, citizenship, and daily activities of the school environment.
