Laveen Elementary District
Laveen Elementary District
Description
The many wonderful additions and changes that are going on in the Laveen School District are just incredible. It seems word is getting out about the Laveen School District Superintendent, Dr. Ron Dickson, administration, teachers, and support staff on how much fun and energetic we are. The different support systems in place are extremely attractive. To name a few: 1.) Collaborative Peer Teacher (CPT) at each site. A CPT is responsible for assisting new teachers throughout the year. A CPT does not teach a classroom, they are there for the teacher, 2.) Quarterly assessments for all grades in reading, writing, and math, 3.) Curriculum Maps aligned with the state standards for content areas, and 4.) Professional Development. Laveen Elementary School District is one of the fastest growing districts in the valley. Our current total district enrollment is roughly 5,000 students and at a 10% student annual growth. As a rapidly growing K-8 School District, we are constantly looking to hire highly qualified candidates as teachers.
