Description

Cedar Unified School District is located in rural Northern Arizona on the Navajo Reservation, approximately 54 miles north of interstate 40 from Holbrook, Arizona. Our District is approximately 1,500 square miles. The District Office is located on the Jeddito School campus at milepost 408 on Highway 264. Jeddito School is a K-8 grade school; White Cone High School is located at White Cone, milepost 31 with grades 9-12. White Cone is located approximately 10 miles South of Highway 264 and Navajo Route 6. The high school is in Transformation with School Improvement. Teachers interested in a position must be highly qualified at the time of application. A valid Arizona Teaching Certificate and an endorsement in content area is required for all positions. Cedar Unified School District serves both Navajo and Hopi Nations with a student body of approximately 320 K-12 students. We employ approximately 98 employees, 25 of which are certified staff members. The area is at an altitude of 6,000 feet, surrounded by high desert country. The climate is moderate, cool in the summer with very little snow in the winter.
