Description
The Pribilof School District consists of a K-12 school on Saint Paul Island with 70 students, and a K-12 school on Saint George Island with 10 students. The Islands are in the Central Bering Sea, and are distant and remote from mainland Alaska (approximately 700 miles west of Anchorage. Student population is predominately Aleut, and there is a strong cultural tie between the schools and the community.
Mission Statement
The Pribilof School District, unique in history, location and Aleut Culture, with the support of parents and community, will provide an educational program based on Alaska Standards which will enable students to become responsible young adults.
