Yukon Public Schools

Yukon Public Schools is a 6A School District educating approximately 8400 students. We have seven elementary schools (PK-3), two 4th-5th grade centers, one middle school, one high school, and one alternative school. We enjoy tremendous partnerships with local universities and Canadian Valley Technology Center. We are a Top 70 workplace in Oklahoma for 2016. We proudly claim to be a large school district that still maintains a "small town feel." Our community is supportive, our population is growing but at a very manageable rate, and we are conveniently located near the Thunder, the Sooners, the Cowboys, and downtown OKC. We are also experiencing a true growth in businesses that provide numerous eating and shopping opportunities for all ages.

Yukon Public Schools will empower learners to be self-sustaining, successful contributors, to life and the global community. Our Strategic Plan fosters continuous improvement by focusing on the following goals: Goal 1: Personnel - We will recruit, retain, and compensate highly motivated educators that are committed to professional growth and excellence. Goal 2: Facilities - Provide efficient, cost effective facilities that address the learning needs of our students and enhance instruction. Goal 3: Communication - We will develop a communication plan that provides transparent, accurate, and timely information to meet the needs of our District stakeholders, including employees, parents, students, and community members. Goal 4: Finance - Our District will establish a financial plan that will inform and benefit all stakeholders. Goal 5: Professional Development - We will create and implement professional development that is relevant and applicable to meet the needs of all educators. Goal 6: Curriculum - We will establish a research-based curriculum to implement a viable, relevant, meaningful experience for all students. Goal 7: Instruction - We provide meaningful learning with high expectations for all.
