Pre K-12 Home of the Warriors! Over the summer 34 elementary and secondary teachers and teacher assistants attended a four day workshop to learn more about (GE) Great Expectations. GE is dedicated to providing professional growth opportunities for educators designed to build the knowledge and skills needed to motivate, inspire, and challenge students to achieve excellence in learning and living. GE is a unique approach that includes the very best of what is known about teaching today. Pulling from many learning theories, GE is defined by six Tenets and seventeen Classroom Practices. The Eight Expectations for Living and the Life Principles are important tools that help teachers create a classroom that welcomes and inspires every student to pursue excellence in academics as well as in life. It is our hope and desire to implement GE throughout the district: the elementary school during this 05/06 school year and the high school during the 06/07 school year.
