Description

With a district enrollment of over 5,600 and many proposed housing projects, our district will experience significant growth over the next few years. Grades PK-12 are accredited by the Oklahoma Department of Education. Gifted and Talented and Special Education classes are comprehensive and available to qualified students. Each Choctaw-Nicoma Park School operates a modern Library Media Center directed by a full-time Library Media Specialist and a full-time Media Assistant. Each school offers automated circulation and current technology to provide up to date materials for students and faculty. C-NP consistently ranks above the state and national average in ACT and ITBS scores. Of C-NP schools' 300 teachers, approximately 30 percent hold a Master's Degree, or above, and more than 50 percent exceed 15 hours of post-baccalaureate study.

The mission of the Choctaw / Nicoma Park Public Schools is to provide educational excellence for the students while recognizing that students, staff, parents and the community share in the responsibilities for learning. The Choctaw-Nicoma Park Public School system is dedicated to fostering intellectual understanding, physical development, character growth, and social competencies that enable students to become fully functioning citizens and promote the ideals of our nation’s constitution.
