Welcome to Blackwell, Oklahoma, recently christened "America's Hometown." We are proud of our community and its rich heritage. Relive the past at Blackwell’s Top of Oklahoma Museum in the magnificently restored Electric Park Pavilion, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Stroll through Blackwell’s unique stores and abundant, picturesque antique shops. Luxuriate in 1920’s oil baron style at Ponca City’s palatial Marland Mansion, home to E.W. Marland, whose holdings at one time produced a tenth of the world’s oil. When it’s time to play or relax, Blackwell offers a nine-hole public golf course, six parks (two with walking/jogging trails), six tennis courts, an Olympic-sized swimming pool and a children’s splash pad. Nearby Kaw Lake and Ponca Lake welcome fishers, boaters, skiers, campers, hunters, sailors, and picnickers. For more family fun, there is also a water park near the dam at Kaw Lake. Closer to home, Blackwell residents can also enjoy bowling, baseball, softball, volleyball, and intramural sports for both adults and children.
