POSITION TITLE:  Gifted Intervention Specialist-District wide

 

JOB DETAILS: 

  • 178 Day Limited Teaching Contract

  • Salary and benefits according to placement on the Midview Education Association teacher salary schedule and dependent on skills and experience

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Ohio Teaching License with proper certification as a Gifted Intervention Specialist  or the ability to obtain one prior 08/01/25

  • Previous experience in or knowledge of the Midview Local Schools is desired

  • Prior work records must demonstrate good working habits, excellent attendance record and evaluations. 

  • Ability to provide a clear BCI/FBI background check free of convictions

 

JOB OVERVIEW:
 

  • Midview Local Schools is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Gifted Intervention Specialist to join our team.  The candidate best suited for the position will be able to support teachers in the development of instructional strategies to cater to the individual learning styles and needs of gifted students. The Gifted Intervention Specialist (GIS) is responsible for identifying, planning, delivering, and supporting instructional services for students in grades K-12 identified as gifted according to the Ohio Department of Education’s Gifted Operating Standards. Additionally, the GIS is responsible for maintaining district compliance with Written Education Plans [WEPs], Written Acceleration Plans [WAPs], EMIS student data collections, and assisting in placement for gifted service.
