Located in the Sandhills of North Carolina, the Richmond County School System, founded in 1967, serves the municipalities of Cordova, Dobbins Heights, Ellerbe, Hamlet, and Rockingham. Approximately 8,300 students attend the eighteen public schools that comprise the district
