Description

Orange County Schools consists of 11 schools (7 elementary, 2 middle, and 2 high) and 6700 students in grades Pre-K-12th grades. Our school district is committed to continuous improvement in order to provide high quality education for all students. To achieve this goal, the district has: per pupil expenditure in top 5% in NC, average class sizes of 1:18 in grades K-3, 1:21 in grades 4-5, 1:25 in grades 6-12. Our district is committed to site-based decision making, school governance, after-school programs, and modern technology in all classrooms. All 11 schools met AYP goals for 2003-04 school year.
