Mountain Island Charter School (MICS) is a top performing Kindergarten through 12th grade tuition-free public charter school that serves the educational needs of approximately 1,500 students living in Mount Holly and the greater Charlotte, North Carolina area. The student body is 64% White, 23% Black, 5% Multiracial, 5% Hispanic, 2% Asian, and 1% Native American.? MICS offers three academic tracks designed to support academic needs and career interests: College Preparatory, Career Preparatory, and Occupational Course of Study.
