Substitute Teacher

Description

    We are currently accepting applications for a Contract Substitute Elementary Teachers for the 2021-2022 school year.

  • $130 per day
  • Substitute Teacher will be assigned a job daily based on the district's needs
  • The contract substitute teacher is guaranteed employment for 95% of the student days during the term of the appointment, and must provide exclusive availability to the Brockport School District to serve as a per-diem substitute teacher
Required Credentials:
  • NYS teacher certification: Childhood Education grades 1-6 or Nursery, K and grades 1-6 
  • Dual certification in Students with Disabilities grades 1-6 or Literacy birth - grade 6 preferred but not required
Preferred Credentials:
  • Successful prior teaching/student teaching experience; Knowledge of New York State Learning Standards; Technologically proficient
Applicants must be fingerprinted and cleared for employment from the NYS Education Department before employment begins.
