The Goodwill Excel Center (Excel) is a FREE adult high school for students ages 18 – 50 with three campuses in Austin, plus two justice education locations (Billy Moore Correctional Center in Overton, TX and Lockhart Correctional Facility in Lockhart, TX). Since 2014, Excel has empowered thousands of people to achieve academic success, personal growth, and career advancement in a learning environment designed for the needs of an adult student. We provide a supportive environment that focuses on immediate needs AND the future – including career training opportunities so students are career- and college-ready upon graduating. In addition to their training, we look for their dedication to the individual. Our teachers are not just teachers. They are part of the students’ families; they are guides and Life Coaches that ensure the students will achieve their goals and become successful.
