Description

The community of Atkinson has a population of approximately 1250 people and is comprised of industries designed to support agriculture and livestock operations. We serve approximately 450 students PK-12 and employ 73 staff members. The district covers 904 square miles and has one K-8 attendance center in the country. Cohort graduation rate is consistently greater than 97%. Enrollment has increased over 120 students in the last 10 years. 32% of students qualify for Free or Reduced Meals Student population is 94% White, 4.5% Hispanic and 1.3% Black or African American West Holt has a 95% daily attendance rate. 54% of West Holt Teachers hold Master’s Degrees with an average of 21 years of experience. 12% of students are served in the Special Education Program. 2.8% of students are English Language Learners
