Lame Deer Elem

The Lame Deer School District is nestled in the main hub of the Northern Cheyenne Reservation. Although the town of Lame Deer is a small country community it keeps a steady pace in activity. The reservation may be considered small according to Montana standards but it is packed full of beautiful scenery, hiking locations, and historical value. Because our location is remote we offer teacher preferred housing for our staff and local amenities are available.

Lame Deer Schools are to provide a safe learning environment that ensures all students are engaged, challenged, and supported by teachers, parents, and community to achieve a high standard of excellence including the preservation of cultural values that prepares them to succeed and contribute to the local and global community from kindergarten through post-secondary and lifelong learning.
