Academie Lafayette (District)

Description

Established in 1999, Académie Lafayette is a public French immersion charter school open to students from Kindergarten through 8th grade who live within the Kansas City Missouri School District boundaries. All subjects, with the exception of English Language Arts, are taught in the French language by teachers from all over the world. The International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program (IBMYP) was recently added to Académie Lafayette’s middle school curriculum. Académie Lafayette’s charter is sponsored by the University of Central Missouri, who holds us accountable for student achievement and fiscal responsibility. AL has been recognized at the state and national level for very strong academic achievement, and our students’ standardized test scores bear this out.
