Description

Wayzata Public Schools, Independent School District 284, serves over 9,500 students from Corcoran, Maple Grove, Medicine Lake, Medina, Minnetonka, Orono, Plymouth and Wayzata. The District’s motto is “Achieving Excellence…One Student At A Time” which is possible by the work of outstanding teaching staff, of which over 70% hold Master’s degrees, and unparalleled community involvement. As a result, students in WPS consistently score at the highest levels on statewide-standardized testing in grades 3,5,7,8,10 and 11 and score significantly above state and national averages on Advanced Placement, SAT & ACT exams.

Students in the Wayzata Public Schools are given the resources to help them discover, create, imagine and explore their futures. Learning takes place in well-equipped classrooms, outdoor learning centers, technology laboratories and state-of-the-art media centers.
