Sweetwater County School District Number 1 is located in Rock Springs, Wyoming. Rock Springs is a community of 20,000 that is currently experiencing a gas and oil boom. We have 9 schools in town and 2 in outlying areas. Our district has approximately 4,200 students and nearly 400 certified staff members. The current base salary is $43,520. and we have an excellent benefits package. Rock Springs is located 3 hours from Salt Lake City and Jackson Hole. Our climate is dry and we are 6,200 feet above sea level. Southwest Wyoming is a great place to work and raise a family.
