Fremont County School District # 6

The District presently operates Wind River Middle/High School (grades 6-12), Wind River Elementary School (grades K-5), and Crowheart Elementary School (grades K-3). The District's total enrollment as of August, 2014 was 367. Pavillion is a small town of just over 165 (census 2000) residents located within 30 miles of the Wind River Mountain range. A county larger than some states, Fremont County has a population of approximately 36,000. The area's economy is based on local ranching and farming.

The District's comprehensive educational program is fueled by the energy of an active and informed Board of Trustees, an experienced and dedicated staff, and interested and participating parents and community members. Providing quality opportunities in a peaceful, productive and purposeful environment, that leads to every student's development, drives the District's decision-making process.
